Classification of agency

1. General agent: This is an agent who act on behave of his principal in all matters involving a trade or business. A good example of a general agent is a legal practitioner or a lawyer.
2. Special agent: This is an agent who act on behave of his principal on special matters although not on a continuous basis. E.g. A special order to purchase a landed property, motor vehicles e.t.c.
